As part of the brand architecture process, he played a key role in the migration of two hotel brands, The Gateway Hotel and Vivanta by Taj, as well as the pre-opening of ibis Coimbatore City and the debut of Vivanta by Taj Surya in Coimbatore.

Beginning his career in the hospitality sector at the beginning of 2000, Mr. Gopal has worked with a number of brands at hotels owned by the Taj group in Kochi, Vizag, and Coimbatore.

He accepted his current position at Courtyard by Marriott Trichy. He started off his career as general manager of the ibis Coimbatore in 2016, then moved on to manage the ibis Hyderabad Hitech City in 2019.
