What is IHD & why celebrated globally?
Guest satisfaction is the pathway for Quality and Efficient Service to ensure a “Moment of Truth” for a guest in the hospitality industry, that is one of the most passionate industries.
The 26th of April is the International Hospitality Day celebration. IHC (The International Hospitality Council), London, and Dr Suborno Bose, hospitality evangelist. Chief Mentor of the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and CEO and Convenor of the IHC, London, established International Hospitality Day on 2th April 2016, to celebrate and recognize this aspect of human nature. The goal was to dedicate one day a year to the hospitality business to celebrate, promote, and educate.
The day is a celebration of our fantastic restaurants, hotels, pubs, and bars around the country. It promotes the workers, business owners, and suppliers who assist them. We conducted a special celebration to help those businesses affected by Covid-19.
The commemoration of International Hospitality Day began with a global event attended by international members of the International Hospitality Council. Prof. David Foskett, MBE, Chairman, International Hospitality Council (IHC), gave an encouraging speech to all those involved in the hospitality business to kick off the worldwide celebration.
This year on April 26th, the day will be observed as International Hospitality Day throughout the world.
