Dr. Suborno Bose (SB), Founder of Indismart group, Chairman and Chief Mentor, International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and CEO, International Hospitality Council (IHC) has a vast experience in Hospitality and Hospitality Education field. He is a chartered accountant with more than 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in various parts of the world. With the Institute of Advanced Management in 1989 and the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) in 1994, he took the first step in mentoring students to prepare them for the future. Unquestionably the most well-known hospitality educator in the nation, Dr. Bose is a hospitality evangelist. In addition to Kolkata, Delhi, Goa, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Pune, IIHM and IAM Hotel Schools have established themselves in, Guwahati and Belgaum in India and in Bangkok, Uzbekistan and SIngapore internationally.

Under his leadership, the Indismart Group collaborated with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), established by the Government of India, has embarked on an ambitious undertaking, to train 1,80,000 students across India in the next ten years in vocational training for unskilled and semi-skilled workers.

Dr. Bose is currently a member of the Education/ Tourism/ Hospitality Managing Committees and Sub-committees of several Bengal Chambers of Commerce and Industry(BCCI). He has been honored with the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award by Enterprise Asia for his exceptional leadership as the Chairman of IIHM Hotel School.

The International Hospitality Day, observed annually on April 24, was made possible in large part by him. It is a special project of the IHC (International Hospitality Council) with three main goals: to commemorate, promote, and educate hospitality. Additionally, he has established SAHAS, a proactive entrepreneurship cell with a corpus fund of Rs. 5 Crore, where students would be inspired and mentored to start their own hospitality businesses.
