Bhowmik’s desire to be a chef and his journey as a chef started at the age of 15, when he was watching his mother prepare meals for a family and was mesmerized by the variety of sounds and smells. His sheer passion and commitment were stepping stones in his brilliant career, with a diploma in hotel management from the American Hotel and Lodging Institute.

He has worked for prominent hotel companies such as Pride Hotel, Starwood Hotel and Resorts, and Marriott International, and has received training from Japanese master Chef Mayo and chef Zhangat of the Michelin-starred Zuma restaurant in Miami.

Throughout his culinary career, he has played a key role in a number of award-winning restaurants. His most recent position as junior sous chef at The Westin Garden City Mumbai entailed creating food promotions, organizing food festivals, team and inventory management, and training

This Master chef has become an invaluable asset to the company due to his profound expertise of pan-Asian cuisine and great team management skills. His unique creativity and experience working with prominent hospitality firms are valuable assets to his skill set.

This Kolkata-born chef put his heart and soul into the kitchen by focusing on unequaled quality and dedicating to detail and consistency while embodying and experimenting with various meals and flavours from around the world. East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisines are his specialities. His unwavering commitment to bringing out true flavours and using only the best ingredients has made him a household name in the hospitality industry.
